Ascent Living Communities’ Hilltop Reserve has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a 2024 Best Assisted Living Community in Denver for the second straight year. The data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States assist older adults and their loved ones in choosing the right community for them. Located at the intersection of Leetsdale Drive and Holly St. (525 S. Holly Street), Hilltop Reserve opened in 2022 and offers 124 Independent Living residences, 56 Assisted Living suites, and 25 Memory Care suites, with 24/7 on-site care staff, in a comprehensive 320,000-square-foot community.
“We are absolutely thrilled to achieve the U.S. News & World Report Best Assisted Living Community in Denver status for the second straight year,” said Ascent Living Communities Co-Founder and Principal, Tom Finley. “There is no denying the need and the opportunity to provide an elevated standard of living and care for our seniors and that has been very evident in the response we’ve seen to our Hilltop Reserve community. We’re very grateful to for the opportunity to serve these amazing residents and their families and to have earned their trust and respect as evidenced by this recognition.”
For its 2024 Best Senior Living ratings, U.S. News rated nearly 3,500 communities on several criteria, including resident and family members’ satisfaction with safety, care, community management and staff, value and other services and amenities provided by the community. U.S. News awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that satisfy U.S. News’ statistical assessment of performance on consumer satisfaction surveys administered in the previous two calendar years, reflecting the viewpoints of more than 400,000 residents and family members. Only the highest- rated communities in each care level earned a “Best” rating. “Best Senior Living reflects U.S. News’ commitment to helping families navigate the important – albeit time-consuming – decision of researching and choosing a senior living community through trusted, data-backed community ratings,” said Sumita Singh, general manager of Health at U.S. News. “We are proud to recognize those communities that stand out as ‘Best’ by providing exceptional care and satisfaction, as directly expressed by residents and family members of residents who live and thrive in these communities.”
The concept of continuing care retirement communities, which cater to people aged 50 years and older, continues to gain traction based on its ability to prevent seniors from having to relocate when additional care is needed. As one of the fastest growing populations of people 60 or over in the nation, according to the Area Agency on Aging for the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Colorado communities need additional communities that provide that full scope of senior housing options and care. In the next 10 years, Colorado will see nearly 40% growth in its over-60 population, and by 2040, one in four Colorado residents will be over 60 years old, according to the agency.
